Details about the traineeship


This course provide you the knowledge and experience in order to use diving dry‑suit.

Open‑circuit divers can participate in this course

Several options can be addressed during the training such as :

  • Management and configuration of a heating system (+1 day)
  • Use of dry glove systems (+1 day)

The initial course lasts 2 days (16 hours) and includes 3 open‑water dives.

  • Features of different dry‑suits
  • Different options and accessories
  • Managing your buoyancy
  • Reaction facing emergencies
  • Configuration depending on your equipment
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance of this specific equipment

Conditions to candidate to this UNDER THE POLE course:

  • Being 18
  • Having a medical certificate for scuba diving
  • AD40 (FFESSM) or equivalent (PADI Advanced Open Water Diver)

Certification: TDI (FFESSM on request, expect +50€ certificate fee)

Dates and rates


In addition :

  • Rebreather rental : +50€/day
  • Bail‑Out rental + regulator : +30€/day
  • Additional training day: +150€/day

At the end of your training, you will be able to increase your experience and participate in exploration diving days, accompanied by our teams:

  • Exploration diving day : 150€/day
  • Rebreather rental : +50€/day
  • Bail out and CCR cylinder inflation on request

Opening of an exploration day possible from 4 divers.

Organization

General organisation:

Traineeships take place from our basecamp in Concarneau or on our expeditions sailing boat following her availability.

The days of training generally start at 09:00 and end at 17:30.

Mid‑day meals, such as snacks, must be provided by the trainees.

Teaching methods: 

When you enter the program, you will be given a digital educational file. This will contain all the educational documents concerning your course.

A follow‑up of the acquisition of your skills will be debriefed by your trainer daily.

Individual equipment to have when you enter the course

You must bring your individual diving equipment.

We recommend the purchase of a dry‑suit before you start the training. Our formers can advise you on the choose.
